(Brochure by post) Park Home Insurance - Towergate Bakers are one of the leading providers of Park Home insurance and introduced the first insurance policy specifically designed for mobile homes (as they were then described ) in 1970 ! Since then we have established a reputation for offering a quality product at a fair price backed up by an experienced in house claims service. Our philosophy has always been based on service rather than price and claims have always been regarded as an opportunity to show how good we are, claim settlement is after all the ultimate the test. In 2009 we launched an innovative new park home policy offering reassuringly high sums insured to avoid the problem of under insurance and to overcome the problem of park home owners really not knowing how much to insure their home and its contents for. Uniquely the premiums are based upon the size of the home be it a single or twin unit and the postal code which enables the risk of flooding to be taken into account. Twin or double unit homes are automatically insured for up to £500,000 with an additional £75,000 for contents whilst single units are insured for up to £250,000 with a further £50,000 for contents, peace of mind indeed. The policy has been short listed for an award at the British Insurance Awards 2011. The policy also provides wide ranging cover including accidental damage as standard, 24 hour Homecare Emergency Assistance, up to £30,000 for temporary alternative accommodation, up to £10,000 compensation for death in the home, up to £5m covering your property owners’ liability and unlimited cover in respect of freezer contents. In 2011 a unique new cover was added for Park Home owners’ Legal Expenses. This was introduced in response to demands from park home owners as a result of the increasing number of disputes arising between park owners and park home owners. The cover was designed with the assistance of Graham Watts, a leading expert on park home legislation and has been warmly welcomed by park home residents, campaigners and associations. Whilst primarily an insurer of park homes Towergate Bakers have taken a very pro active role in support of park home residents sponsoring IPHAS, one of the leading national residents’ associations as well as many qualifying associations on parks up and down the country. We also initiated the Park of the Year competition designed to promote excellence within the industry, launched the one and only Park Home Owners’ Club ( www.parkhomeownersclub.co.uk) and in June 2011 held the very first Park Home Road Show which featured leading figures within the industry such as Sonia McColl of the park home JUSTICE campaign, park home legal expert Graham Watts and campaigning MP Martin Horwood to address and debate with park home owners the issues of the day and the problems associated with unscrupulous park owners.
