Located right on the Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire border, Nestled halfway between the historic, bustling town of Carmarthen and the famous sunny beach towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot lies our lovely Westover Residential Park. The small town of Whitland, where the park is situated, takes its name from a Cistercian abbey from the medieval period and it will provide you with everything you need for your day-to-day needs.

Benefiting from excellent road and rail links to a multitude of popular tourist hot spots, Whitland is also home to the famous Hywel Dda Gardens & Honey Farm, a family-run honey farm that produces award winning ice cream delights and sorbets.

Tenby; a short hop away, is among the U.K’s most popular seaside towns, and boasts a plethora of cafes, traditional pubs and restaurants mixed with a multitude of quirky shops and other places of interest. It is beautifully set alongside a jaw dropping view over the town’s vast sandy beaches, quaint fishing port and spectacular coastal panoramas. Throughout the holiday season Tenby hosts what feels like a never ending schedule of exciting and interesting events.

Saundersfoot, next door, is Tenby’s little sister. A quieter, tranquil fishing port. Equally as picturesque, it is a wonderful spot to while away an afternoon.

The nearby, historic market town of Carmarthen is purported to be the oldest town in Wales; it has a mix of well known high street stores, and interesting independents, along with lots of traditional pubs, cafes and eateries.

Within a 10 minute drive of Whitland, at St Clears, you can also find The Gate Craft Centre – a former mill now converted into a gallery to arts and crafts.
That’s not all. Travel just a little further afield and you’ll discover even more country and coastal attractions … too many to mention!

If you enjoy the quiet and picturesque countryside, yet still within a short journey to the seaside by car or train, then this park is the right choice for you.

Steve & Carol moved into Westover Park about 2 months back! They are the proud owners of a brand new Willerby Hazlewood park home bungalow. We caught up with them on a sunny afternoon in this freezing weather & guess where they were – walking on the beach!! Hope you like reading their lovely story! Q. Why did you choose park homes & this location? We decided to downsize & found park homes a very viable option. We visited numerous parks around the South Wales /Tenby area as we wanted to be local. We came to Westover Park – fell in love with Westover Park & the Hazlewood park home bungalow – we knew we had found our forever home! Q. What made you choose Westover Residential Park? One of the main factors was the proximity to a whole range of amenities like local shops, pubs, restaurants, doctor’s surgery, and hairdressers but also to be away from the hustle & bustle of a big city. The surrounding countryside is beautiful! Q. Where were you living before? We were living in a 2-bed detached home in the midlands & we wanted to downsize to a bungalow style, easy to maintain layout. So we sort of wanted to downsize to a park home bungalow but in all honesty, our Hazlewood park home is probably the same size as our detached home. The kitchen & bedrooms are as big and there is enough storage space. Q. How’s life on the park at Westover? We have made many friends on the park & it is a very friendly, supportive, uplifting community on the park. There is always someone to chat to if you like but everyone respects each other’s privacy & personal space as well! Q. Anything else you would like to share about your life on the park? Before we decided to retire, Carol had a very rewarding job working in a care-home in the West Midlands & I used to work in the local garden centre. We have now settled into our home & the park & love to explore the surrounding areas. We just Pack a Picnic & Go & head out to visit a new town or a beach. We often visit the various beaches around our park which are all less than a 30 minute drive from our home. With so much to explore & see, we are enjoying every moment of our retirement!

Andy & Kay Legge moved into their brand new Omar Accent Home at the end of March 2019. They were based in Ponty Waun before they moved into their lovely park home! We met up them on the wonderful Westover Park (West Street, Whitland, Carmarthenshire, SA34 0AH) recently for a quick chat. Q. What were your living conditions before you moved to this park home? We were living in a cute and cosy grade 2 listed house. Even though it was beautiful and we absolutely loved it- we couldn’t do many changes or upgrades to it as was a listed building. Also it was situated on the top of a hill. So the views were great but we were finding it increasingly difficult to walk up and down in a hilly terrain. We therefore decided to sell up and move to somewhere which was central and had amenities close-by. Q. What made you choose a park home? My husband retired in December and we had already started looking for homes around that time. We were honestly looking for houses /cottages and a little bit at park homes. We had already narrowed our search down to Whitland as we loved the area and wanted to be based there. It has everything you would need for day-to-day living plus a train station. We definitely wanted to be near amenities and a train station so that we could enjoy our retired life, visit places around the area and meet friends and so on. Most of the homes that we saw & which suited us were too far from amenities/trains. Also they weren’t new – we especially wanted a modular fully fitted kitchen as well as clean & modern bathrooms. Plus at this age we didn’t want the hassle of getting new kitchen or bathrooms fitted. On our way back from viewing one of the houses we suddenly though of popping over to see Westover Residential Park. We had already received brochures and details on the park from David Masters (the local area Sales Manager). We liked what we saw & then we arranged a complete viewing with David. We loved the Omar Regency show-home & decided literally on the spot to buy it. It had everything we wanted – was spacious & open & has an amazing, fully fitted lovely kitchen.
