12.11.09 - Britannia Parks lowers rents in line with RPI |
|
Britannia Parks to
lower the pitch fees across their
parks with a Pitch fee review date of January 2010.
The following is copy of a Press Release issued by Britannia Parks:-
Some park operators are confusing the situation of pitch fee reductions, trying to avoid giving their residents reductions in their monthly pitch fee payments. Britannia Parks feel that after year on year pitch fee increases when the RPI has been raised, it is only fair and legal to give a reduction when the RPI figure is a negative figure.
Below is a section from a Pitch Fee Review letter sent to a resident of Allhallows Park.
As you know the pitch fees at Allhallows Park are due for review on 1st January each year. In line with our obligations we are writing to you today to confirm the proposed pitch fee review for 2010.
This year, for the first time in 50 years, the RPI in September was negative by 1.4%. We propose to apply this decrease to the pitch fees at Allhallows Park, so the pitch fee for 41 Kingsmead will be reduced by 1.4% in 2010. We are consistent in applying the September RPI figure (announced in October) each year.
