Following close on the heels of the purchase of the superbly located 27acre Takeley Park near Stansted, Bishops Stortford. 2011 closed on a high note for Cheltenham based Regency Park Homes, when in December they took over the Britannia Parks Group, making this one of the largest single acquisitions in the history of the park home industry. A family run business with a history dating back to 1945, Regency Park Homes together with their subsidiary company Landex Parks own parks in some of the most beautiful and prestigious areas of the Country including Yorkshire, The Cotswolds and Cornwall to name but a few.

Prestige Developments Group is proud to announce that from 28^th November 2011 it has taken over the management of Country Homes (Anglia) Ltd based at Brome, Suffolk.

Housing Minister Grant Shapps has announced new rights for those who live in park homes that will allow them to resolve disputes with site owners quickly and more easily, and ensure that their sites are safe and better maintained.

Under changes to existing legislation, residents will be given access to a dedicated, low cost specialist housing tribunal, which can deal with cases quickly and without the need for legal representation. This removes the prospect of large legal costs which currently puts park home residents off taking action to resolve disputes with site owners.

Nothing could daunt the enthusiasm of both park owners and the general public when Omar Park Homes launched their new display centre at their Head Office and Factory in Brandon, Suffolk last Friday 1 October, marking another milestone in the company's history.

A steady flow of people braved the weather on Friday and many were making the most of being able to confirm or change the specification of their newly ordered homes.

As you may be aware, the original Omar business that traded as Omar Homes Ltd went into administration in March 2009. With the business going into administration not all homes registered under the Gold Shield acheme were paid for by Omar Homes Ltd prior to administration, also a number of homes built during 2008 and 2009 had not been registered.
